To deal, she also seeks out therapy herself and as the book unfolds we get to know her in both roles – as both patient and therapist.

What I love about this book is how genuine, candid and insightful Gottlieb is. The stories she tells about her own clients are captivating and relatable and I love how brilliantly they compliment each other as the book unfolds. These tales are both heart-wrenching & heartwarming, and are all told with engaging honesty and compassion.

I found myself laughing and crying at different points throughout this book as there was much to relate to and be inspired by. Overall, I highly recommend this book if you’re looking for an enjoyable read with a side of psychological insight.
